ARSENAL & MAN CITY STARS AMONG TOP 10 MOST DISPOSSESSED PLAYERS

Anthony Martial? Harry Kane? Romelu Lukaku? Close, but no cigar. In fact, our stats show that Manchester City’s Sergio Agüero has been dispossessed more times than any other player in the Premier League this season.

Shocked? Us too! Especially considering the array of talent that joins him in the top 10.

Agüero has scored an impressive 16 goals in 23 league appearances this season. He now faces the task of leading Man City’s fight for Champions League qualification in the final eight games of the season, with his side sitting just one point ahead of fifth place West Ham.

But, our stats show Agüero must quickly improve one area of his game if City are to have any hope of finishing in the top four this season. The 27-year-old has had the ball taken away from him 83 times in just 23 appearances, an average of 3.6 times per game, more than any other player.

Another surprising inclusion in the top 10 is the Premier League’s top scorer, Harry Kane. The Spurs and England forward, who is enjoying a terrific campaign, is the joint third most dispossessed player alongside Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha. The three players have each lost the ball 75 times.

Other notable names to appear in the list include Romelu Lukaku (73), Riyad Mahrez (71) and Dele Alli (68). Like Kane, all experiencing excellent seasons respectively.

Salomón Rondón could only dream of being in a top 10 with such an illustrious list of Premier League stars, unfortunately for the West Brom striker, it’s the wrong type of list.
