Chelsea And Arsenal Face Anxious Wait As £21m Winger’s Agent Is Spotted At Everton…Again

EVERTON may have taken a step closer to signing Dynamo Kiev’s Andriy Yarmolenko after his agent was spotted at Goodison Park…again!

Toffees supporters were whipped into a frenzy when the winger’s representative, Vadim Shabily, posted a picture of himself at the stadium and alongside Roberto Martinez last year.

Hopes have again been raised after the Liverpool Echo revealed Shabily flew from the Ukraine to watch Everton beat Manchester City in the Capital One Cup semi-final.

The news will come as a setback for Arsenal and Chelsea who are known to be interested in the talented winger.

The Daily Mail claim Everton are willing to meet the winger’s hefty £21m valuation to secure a deal in January.

It’s thought Roberto Martinez is worried Yarmolenko will thrive during Euro 2016 and cause a bidding war between a clutch of Europe’s elite.

Recently asked if negotiations took place with Everton, Shabliy explained: “Of course. But I will not say much on this subject. In general it is a good club, good team, I liked it very much.”

Yarmolenko, 26, signed a new five-year contract with Dynamo Kiev in October, but only as a precaution to ensure the club receive a reasonable fee.

Norwich look to be closing in on the £8m signing of Steven Naismith, who was omitted from Everton’s squad that dispatched Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

The Merseyside outfit could use the fee to finance a deal for Yarmolenko.
