Lee Bullen named as Sheffield Wednesday assistant manager

Lee Bullen has been promoted to permanent first-team coach at Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Owls defender previously divided his duties between the club’s under-21 side and the senior squad.

The 44-year-old will now focus exclusively on the first team under the direction of manager Carlos Carvalhal.

Bullen told the club’s official website: “I don’t think it feels any different, it’s nice having the paperwork to prove it but other than that, it’s no different to the last year and a half.

“I’m now officially the assistant coach to the first team which is great.

“Obviously it was all change in the summer with new philosophies and new ways of doing things but it’s been a great education for me and long may it continue.”
