Fitness and ball work were the protagonists in an intense training session where Ancelotti had 10 first team and 12 youth team players.
Real Madrid completed the first of two training sessions today. Arbeloa and Illarra joined the group for an intense session in which Ancelotti combined fitness and ball work. The Italian had 10 first team players and 12 youth teamers, who are under his command during this pre-season.
The first part of the session was fitness work. Goalkeepers Diego López, Jesús and Pacheco did specific work with Villiam Vecchi, whilst outfield players did coordination and muscular exercises before doing ball work.
The Whites then had an intense session of first touch, control and passing exercises. They then completed a fitness circuit, having to weave their way through a slalom, skipping and shooting at goal to finish.
More work this afternoon
The Whites will continue their work this afternoon from 17:00, and will complete the final session of the fifth day of pre-season training behind closed doors at the Ciudad Real Madrid
