Arsenal could have midfielder Aaron Ramsey back for the FA Cup semi-final against Wigan later this month, according to Daily Telegraph.
The Wales international is back in training with the Gunners, having suffered a thigh injury on Boxing Day against West Ham. Prior to his extended spell on the sidelines, Ramsey scored 15 goals in 31 games for club and country.
Ramsey has ‘no chance’ of making the Arsenal squad for the weekend’s Premier League game with Everton but the cup match a week later is a realistic target, the newspaper adds. Ramsey’s prospects of featuring at Wembley are still said to be less-than-certain but it is possible.
Mesut Ozil is a week behind Ramsey in his return from injury and the club’s record signing could be involved in the league game against Hull City on April 19. Nacho Monreal could join Ramsey in the FA Cup squad and Jack Wilshere and Laurent Koscielny have been pencilled in for a return before the end of the season, but it’s not yet definite.
Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League table, four points better off than Everton in fifth. Should the Toffees win on Sunday at Goodison Park they would be only one point behind Arsene Wenger’s side with a game in hand.
