25 year-old, Mesut Ozil has for the third time in a row won the German national Player of the Year award. The poll which was conducted by the German Football Federation saw the Arsenal midfielder pooling more than 30% of the total votes cast. He came tops ahead of Bayern’s ahead of Thomas Muller and Phillip Lahm.
The ex Real Madrid star owe the honour to his fans. “This award makes me proud and happy. Above all, because (the vote) was carried out by the fans.” He stated.
