So there’s a Nigerian Balotelli? I admit I’ve carried a lot of last on this one.
Gbolahan Salami was nicknamed Nigeria’s Mario Balotelli for his erratic behaviour, on-pitch misdemeanors and off-pitch scandals. I learnt he’s crazier than Italy’s Balotelli (but I doubt that). Gbolahan is a great player too and could be the best in Africa if he stays focused.
The 22 year-old who was called up by Super Eagle’s Stephen Keshi for 2014 African Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa has played for Enyimba, Julius Berger FC, Shooting Stars to mention a few. The late Rashidi Yekini is his football hero and his best coach(es) are Fatai Amoo (ex Shooting Stars coach) and Stephen Keshi.
